Earthquake

The earthquake happened this afternoon. I can not imagine how people in Wenchuan is suffering, but they do. I don't how was the earthquake a predictable one or why not. However, it do happened, and caused great damage! Then the firm, of course, some kind of email is going to be sent by some partner LF in some days to financially support the Wenchuan People. It's human, but it's also just some bull shitting CSR products. Some partner asked me today right during the earthquake, that why I told him here had a earthquake happening. Why? May he thought I just wanna run away from the job. Anyhow, I was saving myself and reminding him kindly. After getting into the Safty Passage, it already filled with firm guys. Hehee~ Just like every morning in downstairs waiting the elevator. We moved great slowly! OMG, if there is a real damage in this building, I believe we all going to die, and no survivor! It's the way the firm moving their staff. Quite upset.

Pekin April Fools (Part 4)

Day Six, it came the final full day in the city for this trip. How was today's plan? Of course, the Forbidden City! And then, the Beihai Park. In the morning, I got up late as usual and had the cake bought last night in SOGO. Arrival at the Forbidden City by noon time, I got the student ticket luckily again. It's 70% off! Actually, the Forbidden City is not as big as my imagination. I'm afraid the Emperor must feel lonely and boring living in such kind of place everyday. Also the Forbidden City occrued me another place, the Emperor's Palace of Puyu in Changchun City. It's interesting that I took the CNR jobs and visited two Emperor's home of the Qing Dynasty. Like many other great spots, it was full of visitors with various nation and colour. We are looking for the feudal society of the old China. Though we could not see how the Emperor leading the biggest country of the world but in this Forbidden City, the city itself impressed me. Unfortunately, the two biggest hall in the city was under maintainence, but of course I'll come again. I like the red tall wall and the strict long street here.

I spent more than five hours in the city, then headed to the Beihai Park. It's a park very nearby the Forbidden City and famous for the White Stupa and the Nine-Dragon Screen. The White Stupa is another good viewing point of the downtown. After quickly scan these spots, I also took the shuttle ship across the wild lake in the park. As schedule, I planned the night Tian'an Men Sq and Houhai this day. Then I began to go back my Homeinn for a break and the recharging of the DC battery. I had another Pekin dish, the Lu Zhu Huo Shao for dinner. Just so so. As for the night Tian'an Men, the square had already been closed with no enterance allowed. Taken some pictures, then I had metro to the Gulou. On foot, I found Houhai. Though I already came here in daytime, I still wanna have a look for this Pekin No.1 pub street in night. Therefore, I was here again. Just take a look see how Pekin's pub like. The conclusion is far more that I'm liking my City Shanghai.

Day Seven, my last day here for this trip. As the flight timetable, I have only few hours in the morning. I took myself to the National Grand Theatre. Firstly, I planed to see the Chairment Mao and I had no DC with me today, but the memorial hall had already closed for today. Sigh. I got to the Pekin Hotel then for some post cards sending back to Shanghai. It's lucky. The post stamp named Wangfujin! Cool~ Arrival at the airport early in the afternoon, I was backing. Yep, the visit is done, should be my last trip all alone on my own. Though I still had a long list like the Prince Gong's Mansion, the Ming Tombs, the Perfection and Brightness Garden, the Taoranting Park and the Tsinghua University not visted, I felt very satisfied these days. So, if everything is OK, let's see in Aug 2008 again. Say the interim for CNR, hehe~ (END)
