2007/12/29 IpodI begin to play the prized Ipod Nano 3 these days. For long, I have never talked about any MP3, cause its sound performance is pretty poor. Therefore, I'm always by the side of CD players. I'm right again. I can hardly hear the deep base from the Ipod. It's disappointed to use Ipod for blue, rock and dancing music. Fortunately, the spoken word is clear and ok. It's suitable to listen some Faye songs during night, but not in any public noisy place. Maybe I should buy another better LP headphone. It do helps in listening to some portable music player. Just leave it. I'm surely about to return to my NE20 soon.
One interesting design of this Ipod is the Cover Flow. I can see every ablum's cover vividly through a slide screen. That' great to be albe to see these familiar covers packed in the player. And it's cool when choose a song or an ablum for playing. But it's hard to find all these album's covers from internet. Some are available in the Itune Store, but others I may have to do the covers by using ACDsee, even the Photoshop. And I find the 4GB sized MP3 is far from enough. Every song I inject from the CD is around 10MB. It costs a lot of space for some better sounding effect. It means my Ipod can only hold 20 ablums. I'm going to full-feed my Ipod in one week... 2007/12/25 Be A Good Incharge1. Always make arrangement in advance
2. Inquire, report and discuss any material issue with mgr timely
3. Assign more sections to junior staff. DO NOT hold everything in own hand
4. Get fleeback from team members over dairly working, and make proper reassignment if any
5. Review working paper at least one day before deadline, and write down the quiries in paper
6. Bargine with mgr over any insensible assignment and any timecost over-run
7. Obtain more PBC before field work and coach client how to deliver qualified PBC
8. Always list PBC, outstaning issues, etc, and less than daily push client to clear 9. Claim timecost and outlay timely, and make summary for mgr's review
10. Make everything perfect is impossible, just try to tidy the work on a sensible level 2007/12/15 No SubjectSo long that no blog made. I think the life is a little bit too busy to me. Heading to Changsha for the first time last month, I was involved in the engagement Valin again. Three weeks, three companies, it sounds not be so difficult. Actually, work is not easy at all. And to coach A1 is not an easy job also. After the field, I begun to follow A1's working, do had a lot of modification on their working papers. I can remember once I was an A1 on some team. My incharger will stay later help me updating the paper. It's good to recruit some many A1s into the firm. Two years later, we will surely to have more incharger to monitor various engagements. Hope all things will be better.
Shanghai is becoming cold these days. It's really hard to get up early everyday. Anyhow, annual leave is coming. It's a good chance to have a breakdown before the damned peak season. The year 2007 is a terrible year. CCS Jiangsu HK listing, CCS Shanghai QPR, CNR A-share Listing, Valin staturoy audit and BASF hardclose audit, one by one, my staffing is always quite full with them. Dept Three is a great department, with high level of auidt fee, low GA rate. Hehe, that may be why we can have a table next to VIP area in the annual dinner.
Yes, we had held annual dinner year in Guangda Expo Centre this year in Nov. We all thought the annual dinner is becoming worse and worse. Anyhow, it's good to see all my friends together on the dinner. We took a lot of pictures together. It's surprise to be told that some of them going to leave the firm. But it's true that the firm's practice is going downway. Besides the dinner, our dept had a welcome party last weekend in Park 97. We had many games and our team did a good job. I won the prize in Quiz round. Hah~ What a happy night! And after the party, some of us stayed in the bar for drinking and dancing untill the next day. The next day, our university classmates have a get-together in Xujiahui. We played Warcraft as what we always did when in campus. The we headed to KTV for singing and drinking. All of us got very very high. Finally, we turned to M-Factory and had two bottles of Chivas. It's nice to see we brothers hanging around together. Hey, Potato, you should have been in Shanghai this month!
Peak season is about to come. Looking into the staffing, I have Valin for one month, then CNR again for another one month. Shit happens! All A-Share listing engagement, all new PRC GAAP and all working paper in Chinese. I do not think that the job is helping in my career growth. I wanna have some IFRS jobs. Why no CTE in our group! Anyhow, the good news is that James seem to be the manager for all my final booking. But it won't be a long term deal for me to always engaged in these damned A-listing manufactory projects. I'm feeling tired about these companies. I have no interest at all. So, let's see. Leave or Stay. It depends. |
