2006/10/30 RecruitingLast Friday, I went back Songjiang my school SIFT with our recruiting and other supporting team. It's the first time that KPMG be here for a campus talk. I was happy that I could be a helper here in the familiar auditorium. Actually, I attended no campus talk of big 4 firms, when I was a graduate. But in this month, I attended two~! It feels good to return campus from the damned work temporarily. But the show is just so so. I don't wanna comment more on this part.
After the campus talk, I also took part in the paper test by chance on Saturday. The verbal is much easier than my expectation. Actually, It's designed for economics graduates. I can guess out the answer of most paragraph by knowledge in some basic economics sense. As for the numeral, it's really troublesome. The attendee has to do casting work one by one. On the whole, the paper test is covered with no exceptional noted. Just mind the minutes!
Bless the paper test, the interview and further more the offer. Best luck to all~!
BTW, I like HR recruiting work. It seems quite interesting. 2006/10/24 Gallery UpdatedWhy the sky in Sony DC can not show up in blue always! I wanna a blue sky with pure white cloud~ 2006/10/17 Work & TalkAs soon as my return from SSML, CTESH life begins again. Actually, most of the team members have already been working at this period for one week. From my observation, the console for 050930 has been semi-finalized. For this week, we should begin the console for the figures 060930. Poor guy~! I have only one day on field at my client site before the deadline of console work. How can I ensure the figures from my client, and when can I have some time to draft the memo or financial highlight. It don't make sense. The time table for me is horrible. So please don't expect more on the quality of my deliverables. I have no choice but be rough to meet the deadline.
I clear out this evening to attend the campus talk today. Crowding into the Hall, I guess no one can recognize me, unless I greet in face firstly. It's interesting to sit behind as an ordinary audience with my graduate friends and some special guests. May they have more confidence in their talk, then no particular listening in some competitor will be actually in need. OK. As for the campus talk today, it's common, easy-going, but a little bit fade. Anyhow, wish all you best luck in the recruitment cycle. I believe you can make it. Blessing~ 2006/10/16 Graduate Peak SeasonNov to Apr, it's the peak season for we audit staff. Also, it's the peak season for the graduate students. Our firm will begin its campus talk from tomorrow, Fudan University, then SUFE, SJTU, SISU, STJU and SIFT. It occurs to me the age when I was a graduate student. Campus talk, career discussion, application, resume, cover letter and internship... KPMG, Ernst & Young, Samsung, CITI, CCB and ICBC... Actually, I enjoyed my job hunting greatly. It made me bouncing that with formal dress, access to various office building. But ridiculously, two year later, I enjoy nothing but have a casual day. It don't mean that I feel sick about the work, but being too familiar to have a ripple on my heart. I am growing up.
Why this firm. I think I have no other better choice. I can't be the man qualified enough for CICC, Hengseng, GE, Unilever or PBoC. The three year long dissipated campus life reflected in my frustrated application for many jobs. I may should have reviewed and criticized my subjective dolcevita, but I haven't. I'd like to say I love my campus life. Even I may have ended up in ICBC, I won't blame to my choosing. How many four year can one have in university. Mostly, only once, I'm afraid. So, enjoy it in the way you belong to.
I can find my changing in the past one year. Something worries me a lot that I am becoming an aggressive man. I don't like such a style. I don't like my being the style. Sigh. Set a reminder. Behave properly. Be modest. Be trustworthy.
Back to the subject, our firm will have campus talk tomorrow night in FDU. I'd like to be there. Definitely, it will be a one well organized and warmly welcomed. As for the engagement in process, I do believe I can submit the initial spreadsheet by tomorrow morning and then cover some rebuttable audit procedure in the afternoon. I like the way with a schedule.
Out and out, little by little, but visibly. |
